Sometimes people ask about a dog that has 'gone missing' from our website - perhaps the sire or dam of a past litter.  Occasionally one of our dogs will 'retire' to become the new pet of a family member or friend.  We will feature those beloved pets on this page, and provide periodic updates and photos.

AKC Champion QBin Julieta's Premiere, "Jules"

Jules is now retired and living with our friend Betty.  Jules finished her championship with an impressive record of four major wins, then went on to whelp our champion Junebug and other very promising pups.  Jules is pictured below, sporting her 'puppy cut' .

Julieta's grandsire, Oye Chico Rumbero, "Cuby" was the first Havanese exported from Cuba following the reestablishment of the breed there. You can see him and his son Mucho Bravo Cuby's Mi'Hijo, on the Mucho Bravo website.  Julieta’s dam, CH Habla’s Precious Munchkin won Winners Bitch at both the 1998 and the 1999 Havanese National Specialties.

AKC Champion Premiere's Caramel Macchiato, "Mackenzie"

Mackenzie is the daughter of our first two Premiere Champions, Jules and Primo.  Mackenzie finished her championship in just five shows,  going undefeated in the classes.  Mackenzie belongs to our daughter in Michigan.  Two pups from her final litter are in the show ring now, our Jet and Michelle Soave's Madison (Shatara's Take The Lead).

AKC Champion Premiere Junebug Boogie, "Junebug"

Junebug was our first Champion to finish in the Bred By Exhibitor class.  She produced one litter with rather spectacular results.  Her pup, Lola, is the first Havanese Grand Champion with the Premiere kennel name.  Lola, GCH CH Premiere's Luck Be a Lady, has had a stellar year in the show ring, to the delight of her owners Barry & Linda Fredrickson.  Lola's photo is in the banner of the health-testing page.
AKC Champion Los Perritos Foxtrot's Premiere "Primo"

Primo is the son of Westminster Kennel Club winner CH Los Perritos Fox of Camscott.  To see Fox on the cover of Dog World magazine, click here.
Primo is our first Havanese and the grand old man of the family. He finished his championship at the age of 7 months, going undefeated in the classes.  Primo is the dog featured in the banner of our homepage.  He is now nine years old and splits his time between our son's apartment in Nashville and our acreage in North Carolina.

AKC Champion Wyhaven Lights on Broadway, "Neon"

Neon is now retired and lives with our friend Judy.  Neon was named for the John Maher song.  She was bred by our good friend Cathy Wiley.

Neon finished her AKC Championship with four majors and finished the weekend of the Memphis Toy Breed shows in August '07.  Neon is the dam of our youngster, Nitro.

Nirvana's Premiere Edition, "Eddie"

Eddie came to us from our friend Connie Lewis at Nirvana Havanese.  He is a beautiful red-gold color, and has the sweetest temperament of any Havanese I've met.
Eddie is now fulfilling the ultimate dog role; that of a beloved family pet.
